Need a lift to church or a fun day out with great company? The Deception Bay Baptist Church Bus is here to help! Whether you’re looking to join us on Sunday mornings or take part in one of our special group outings, the Church Bus ministry is all about connection, accessibility, and community.
Church Bus Outings – Enjoy the Journey
Every so often we hit the road for a group bus trip! These group day trips offer a chance to relax, explore local spots, and enjoy meaningful fellowship along the way.
Where Do We Go?
Past destinations have included:
Scenic towns like Montville and Bribie Island
Wildlife encounters at Currumbin Sanctuary
Peaceful picnics at Donnybrook
Historic treasures like Old Petrie Town
…and many more!
Some trips are themed (e.g., for men or seniors), but most are open to everyone. While our outings are particularly popular with seniors, all ages are warmly welcomed!
Costs & Donations
There’s usually a small donation requested to help cover bus fuel and maintenance. Additional costs (like meals, entry fees, or shopping) will be shared ahead of time through church announcements and the weekly bulletin.
Feel free to bring your own lunch or buy food on the day—details vary based on the destination.
Weather & Timing
Outdoor trips may be postponed due to poor weather, especially for picnics or walking tours. We always announce updates well in advance.

Need a Lift on Sundays?
The Church Bus also offers free weekly pickup to bring you to our Sunday morning service at 9:30am. It’s a simple way to make sure transport isn’t a barrier to worship and fellowship.

Timing
Pickups usually begin between 8:00–8:30am, depending on the number of passengers. The bus aims to arrive at the church around 9:20am.
