Policies and Procedures

At Deception Bay Baptist Church, we believe that every person is deeply valued by God and deserves to feel safe, respected, and supported. We are committed to creating and maintaining safe spaces for all—especially children, young people, and vulnerable individuals—within our church community.

We actively work to safeguard the physical, emotional, social, and spiritual wellbeing of everyone in our care. This commitment shapes our culture, our programs, and the way we serve one another as a church family.

All staff and volunteers share in this responsibility. They are appropriately screened, trained, and supported to uphold our Safe Spaces policy and procedures. Through these measures, we seek to foster a church environment where people of all ages can belong, grow, and encounter hope in a safe and caring community.

Because of this we require all people to adhere to the following documents. This falls in line with the Queensland Baptist movement (of which we are a part of) and Queensland Government regulations.
