He has a pastoral heart and loves connecting with people from all walks of life.Theo and his wife Niki originally come from Melbourne. They have been living on the Redcliffe Peninsula for 38 years. They have two daughters and four grandson’s, in which they take great pleasure in looking after them whilst, parents at work.

Anthony Westphal – Youth Pastor

Anthony has been the youth coordinator moving into associate pastor  after relocating back to the area in early 2022. Though originally born in Melbourne, Anthony has been local to Redcliffe for the majority of his life, having only moved away to work in engineering for three years. He and his wife Samatha have attended Deception Bay Baptist Church for many years and have both loved serving in the community, especially amongst the youth and young adults. Anthony is currently completing his Masters of Ministry at Brisbane School of Theology and has a young, growing family with two little daughters to keep him and his wife busy. He has over 12 years experience with working in kids and youth ministry across a variety of roles and contexts. Anthony loves anything outdoors, from hiking to camping, or just sitting and chatting about the things of God and welcomes anyone who wishes to join him.

Max Davidson- Elder

Following university in Melbourne, Max worked in science and maths teaching before heading to Bible College with his wife, Mary, followed by 2 years in pastoral work. He then joined the mission SIM and the family, by now four, moved to Ethiopia for 6 years. Political upheaval meant a return to Australia and further pastoral service, now in Brisbane. Then God opened the door to join the faculty of the Baptist theological seminary, Malyon College. Similar positions followed in Perth and Sydney over a total period of 25 years.  Retirement saw Max and Mary return to Brisbane where their 2 children had settled.
Max has a pastoral heart, wanting to see those not yet Christians find peace with God and believers strong in faith, consistent in life and faithful in service for the Lord. He enjoys sharing in the growth of his 4 grandchildren and his hobbies of woodturning, photography and bird watching.
