Every second Saturday of most months at 9:30 AM, women from all walks of life gather in the church hall for a special time of fellowship and connection. Whether you’re a long-time member of Deception Bay Baptist Church or just beginning to explore faith and community, our Ladies Fellowship is a welcoming space for women of all ages and stages of life.
This vibrant group offers a warm and supportive environment where friendships flourish, faith is deepened, and lives are enriched through meaningful conversation and shared experiences. Our desire is to see women grow spiritually while building strong relationships that uplift and encourage.
The format of our gatherings changes regularly to keep things fresh, fun, and engaging. Some meetings include devotionals, prayer, or guest speakers sharing encouragement from life and ministry. Other times, we enjoy creative or themed events like high teas, poetry sharing, or even hands-on activities such as markets or craft mornings. Seasonal gatherings—like Easter or Christmas—often include special elements of reflection and celebration.
At the heart of it all is a sense of togetherness. Most gatherings include a shared meal or morning tea. Often, ladies are invited to bring a plate of food to share. Occasionally, there is a small cost involved, depending on the nature of the event—but we always aim to keep things accessible and welcoming.
To help with planning and catering, an RSVP is usually appreciated. You can RSVP by speaking with one of the organisers at church or by contacting the church office during the week. This helps us prepare well and make sure everyone is cared for.
If you’re looking for a way to get to know other women in the church, explore your faith in a deeper way, or simply enjoy a supportive and encouraging community—Ladies Fellowship is a great place to start. Come as you are, bring a friend, and see what God is doing among the women of our church.
Whether you’re outgoing or more reserved, new or familiar, there’s a place for you. No pressure, no prerequisites—just a warm welcome and the opportunity to grow in faith and friendship.
